The term Web 2.0 is associated with web applications that facilitate participatory information sharing, interoperability, user-centered design,[1] and collaboration on the World Wide Web. These new applications have shifted the paradigm from Web 1.0 tools and are helping preparing students for the 21st century job market. Web 2.0 technologies allow teachers to help their students to build their visual literacy skills as well as, share, contribute, collaborate, create, and communicate with peers whether known or unknown, in their town or from across the globe. Web 2.0 technologies includes, but is not limited to blogs, wikis, podcasts, RSS, and other cool tools. Here's a link to a nifty tool to use: http://www.bubbleply.com/default.htm.
